Heading to TNT, Williams to Converge after PBA greenlights trade
The Philippine Basketball Association officially approved on Monday, June 2, the one-on-one trade between guards Jordan Heading and Mikey Williams.
With the trade finalized, Heading will now be wearing the TNT Tropang 5G jersey, while Williams is set to don the Converge FiberXers colors.

Although the two guards have switched teams, it remains uncertain when they will make their respective debuts.
The 33-year-old Williams is currently in the United States and has not seen PBA action since TNT’s championship run in the 2023 Governors’ Cup, where he earned Finals MVP honors.
Selected fourth overall by TNT in the 2020 Draft, the Fil-Am sharpshooter had a decorated stint with the franchise—winning two championships, Rookie of the Year honors, two Finals MVP awards, and earning spots on both the Mythical First and Second Teams.
As for Heading, the 29-year-old last played in the Commissioner’s Cup playoffs, where he struggled with back spasms in Game 3 of Converge’s quarterfinal loss to Rain or Shine.
He has been present on the FiberXers’ bench throughout the ongoing Philippine Cup but has yet to see action due to the lingering back issue.
Despite that, Heading made a strong impression in his lone conference this season—averaging 17.7 points and 5.9 assists per game—putting him in serious contention for the Best Player of the Conference award.
Originally selected first overall by Terrafirma in the 2020 special draft, Heading never suited up for the Dyip. He eventually returned to Converge this season via a trade that sent Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a 2025 first-round pick to Terrafirma.
