Wolf coaches revamped TNC Pro Team S14 lineup

Can the one and only King of MLBB Analysis help solve the Phoenix Army’s playoffs woes?

That is the question that many people are asking, as Caisam “Wolf” Nopueto traded his three-piece analyst suit and caster headset for a white-black-and-orange long sleeved polo to call the shots on the side of a revamped TNC Pro Team’s roster for MPL Philippines Season 14.

Wolf, a 13-season veteran of global Mobile Legends broadcast, was announced as the new lead tactician for TNC in a roster reveal held Sunday night.

The legendary esports broadcaster is a two-time Philippine Esports Awards winner, and had also innovated the use of graphic explainers, and his self-developed mobile app, in giving context and deep analysis to what was traditionally a hype and energy-centered MPL Philippines broadcast.

“Maraming maraming maraming salamat sa opportunity, lalo na sa hindi-mabilang na moments na hinayaan nyo akong i-express yung passion ko sa casting... sa mga pre-shows, content, analysis, pag-telestrator, sa pagkuha sakin constantly as analyst local man o international... sa lahat! Mamaya na ako maglolong message sa inyo... Thank you much din sa lahat ng kaibigan, colleagues, mentors, that I met along the way. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, SA LAHAT NG MPL FANS NA HINDI NAWALA ANG SUPORTA! MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO!,” Wolf said in a lengthy post on his personal Facebook page.

Outside of MLBB, Wolf also coached for other games such as Dota 2, and had also done English and Filipino commentary for the local Valorant Champions Tour or VCT Philippines broadcasts. He also dabbled in press work as the former country editor of ONE Esports’ Philippines operation.

Wolf’s arrival to the Phoenix Army fold has been hyped up, as he will be joined by his new assistant coach, Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic, who most recently was with Fnatic ONIC Philippines and Smart Omega in both playing and coaching roles.

He will also be joined by Jetson “Goyo” Ignacio as the team analyst.

Meanwhile, TNC Pro Team’s backbone will be composed of Christian “HEADS” Morada, Shemaiah “SDzyz” Chu, Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, Joemarie “Escalera” Santos, Salvick “Kouzen” Tolarba, and ex-Minana EVOS players Lance Walter “LanceCy” Cunanan and Ken “Kzen” Pile.

Among the influencers and social media personalities supporting the team as well are Setsuna “Dogie” Ignacio and Kangkong Chips owner Josh Mojica.

TNC’s best-ever finish so far since entering the MPL Philippines roster was their 3rd place finish in the Season 9 playoffs.

Since then, the team had fallen into a four-season drought, ending up either dead last or second-to-the last in the team standings.
