Risa Sato joins Chery Tiggo for the remainder of PVL AFC
Risa Sato found a new home with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) following her contract release after a 10-title tenure with the Creamline Cool Smashers.
The Crossovers revealed the acquisition of Sato on Wednesday, January 15, a few days before the PVL All-Filipino Conference resumes on January 18.

“Yōkoso Risa-san! To our newest addition to our growing family, welcome! Your skills and energy are a game-changer and we can’t wait to have you on the court with us,” Chery Tiggo said in a social media post.
With Sato being released from her contract prior to the new conference, she is immediately eligible to play for her new team, which will go against Petro Gazz, another formidable team, on Tuesday, January 21.
Sato is anticipated to significantly strengthen Chery Tiggo's veteran-heavy frontline featuring Aby Maraño, Pauline Gaston, Cza Carandang, and recuperating youngster Imee Hernandez.
Chery Tiggo is currently at solo fourth with a 4-2 record in the team standings.
