“We trusted Coach Taka (Minowa)’s system and our team’s culture. We’ve been through a lot, and I really poured all my emotions into this game. This win is a huge confidence boost for us,” said Lacsina in Filipino.

Eli Soyud and Camille Victoria also stepped up, scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively. Faith Nisperos contributed eight points in the first three sets, while middle blocker Ced Domingo added five markers, alongside team captain and setter Michelle Cobb, who not only scored five points but also orchestrated Akari’s offense with 18 excellent sets. Ezra Madrigal chipped in four points to cap off the Chargers' well-balanced offensive attack.

Despite the loss, Farm Fresh put up a strong fight, led by Trisha Tubu, who registered a game-high 23 points, all coming from attacks. Aly Bertolano followed with 13 points, while middle blocker Rizza Cruz added seven markers.

Akari looked dominant early, securing the first set with a commanding 12-point margin. However, they faltered in the next two frames, allowing Farm Fresh to turn the tide. But when it mattered most, the Chargers regained their composure and executed efficiently in the final two sets, securing the much-needed victory.

“We trusted Coach Taka (Minowa)’s system and our team’s culture. We’ve been through a lot, and I really poured all my emotions into this game. This win is a huge confidence boost for us,” said Lacsina in Filipino.

With the victory, Akari joins Creamline, Petro Gazz, Choco Mucho, and Galeries Tower in the quarterfinals to boost their campaign. Meanwhile, Farm Fresh is relegated to the play-in tournament, where they will have to fight for a chance to stay in contention.
