Petecio opens Olympic campaign with UD win

Nesthy Petecio secured a ticket to the Round of 16 of the Women's Featherweight (57kg) via unanimous decision (5-0) against India's Jaismine Lamboria.

Petecio, the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist and Philippine female flag-bearer in the Paris Games  showed her might from the very beginning of the match to keep her gold medal dream alive.

The Filipina boxer will face France Amina Zidani in the Round of 16 on August 3, 2:00 a.m. PH time.
