Football: Philippines-Myanmar match ends in 1-1 draw
The Philippine Men’s Football team’s match against Myanmar ended in a 1-1 draw in the opening match of their 2024 ASEAN Championship campaign at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Myanmar scored first through Maung Maung Lwin at the 25th minute mark.
During the second half, Bjorn Kristenensen scored the goal through a spot kick in the 72nd minute of the game.

Myanmar’s second goal in the 63rd minute by Ye Ying Aung was not counted because it was ruled out based on the Virtual Assisted Referee analysis.
The Philippines tried to score again but Myanmar’s defense was tight.
Both the Philippines and Myanmar have 1 point each in Group B, where they were defeated 1-0 by Indonesia on Monday, December 16.
The Philippines will travel to Laos on Sunday, December 15 at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientiane.
