Bernardo, Morado bag gold medal in badminton men’s doubles

Christian Bernardo and Alvin Morada won the gold medal in the men’s doubles competition at the Bahrain International Series 2 in Diamond Jubilee Hall in Manama, Bahrain.

The Smash Pilipinas - Philippine badminton duo defeated Vimalraj Annadurai and Mauryan Kathiravan of India, 21-14, 21-15, in the finals.

Prior to the final round, Bernardo and Morada faced off against pairs from India, Sri Lanka, and Syria.

This was their second consecutive podium finish in Bahrain after losing to fellow Filipinos Solomon Padiz and July Villabrille in the International Series 1 last week.
