Bantiloc registers season-best, places 28th in archery ranking round
Filipina para archer Agustina Bantiloc began her campaign in the women’s individual compound open ranking round at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, finishing 28th place on Thursday, August 29 (Philippine time).
Making her Paralympics debut at 55, Bantiloc delivered her season-best performance, accumulating a total score of 618 points.
Although she placed last among the 28 competitions, Bantiloc can still improve her performance in the next stage of the competition in her quest for a medal finish in the Paris Games.
The para archery women’s 1/16 elimination round at the Paris 2024 Paralympics will continue on Friday, August 30, where Bantiloc will face the fifth-seeded Jane Karla Gogel of Brazil.
Before the day of the competition, Bantiloc is one of the Philippine’s flag bearers in the Paris Paralympics opening ceremony alongside para swimmer Ernie Gawilan.
