Alas Pilipinas battle Japan's elite in friendly matches

The national men’s and women’s volleyball teams are set to bring their A-game as they face off against Japanese squads in the Alas Pilipinas Invitationals slated September 7 and 8 at PhilSports Arena.

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) announced the event on Wednesday, August 28, as the volleyball body continues its preparation for the hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship.

Alas Pilipinas Women will clash horns with the Saga Hisamitsu Springs while the Alas Men will play against Panasonic Osaka Blueton. 

Both Alas Women and Men are coming off two bronze medals each at the 2024 Southeast Asian Volleyball League or SEA V.League.
