Playing in a basketball best-of-seven series can take toil on the body of the players and the mind of the coaches.

That is why a two-day rest for the teams who are facing each other will have a huge factor in their game play.

One of the factors will be the recovery period of the players who grind out from 48 to 53 minutes of game time. Some of the players could also buy the time to heal from their injuries so that they can be at their best when they return to the hard court.

Another one is that it gives the coaches the time to huddle and prepare a better game plan against their foes so that they could win the next game and even map out on how to close a series.

In a seven-game series, it will always be a long preparation. With that being said, the two-day rest will be a big factor and can benefit both teams.

The competing teams can study the game of their opponents better and prepare to be all out not just for the upcoming game but all throughout the grind.

And if everybody is prepared mentally, physically, psychologically, emotionally and with healthy bodies, the match-ups will be better and the quality of the ballgame will be at its best.

When the series becomes interesting, the fans will be there giving their all too and will have a ‘domino effect’ to the teams that they are rooting for. And when that electrifying energy pours out in the coliseum, the game will be more exciting to watch and the series can become one for the books.
