Erika Santos says goodbye to PLDT after four years in the PVL
After four seasons with PLDT in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Erika Santos has officially moved on from the team.
The 25-year-old outside hitter took to Instagram on Monday night, April 28, to share a heartfelt message, thanking the High Speed Hitters for their unwavering support and the memorable journey she experienced with the squad.
“After three unforgettable years representing PLDT, the time has come for me to turn the page and embrace a new chapter. I’ve been honored to compete alongside incredible teammates and guided by dedicated coaches,” said Santos.
“To my teammates, coaches, and management who became family — pushing me to improve, sharing laughter, and never letting me settle for less than my potential. And to the PLDT fans, your encouragement after a loss lifted our spirits, and your celebrations after a win became memories we’ll cherish forever. I am profoundly grateful for each of you,” she added.

Santos began her professional career with PLDT in 2022, making the bold decision to leave De La Salle University early and forgo her remaining UAAP eligibility. Her impact was felt almost immediately, as she made promising contributions in her rookie season and eventually secured a consistent spot in the starting lineup.
In what would be her final run with PLDT, Santos delivered a strong performance in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.
She finished 13th overall in scoring with 134 total points and ranked sixth among opposite spikers in both total points and spiking efficiency, registering a 32.74% success rate.
Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter in her budding professional career, as fans now await what’s next for the talented hitter.
“I’m excited for what lies ahead, yet I know I’ll deeply miss our morning gym sessions and practices, our pre-game kulitans, and the simple joy of working toward a shared dream,” Santos concluded.
