Elasto Painters not yet willing to give up their championship hopes
Rain or Shine might be in a 1-3 hole right now in their PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup semifinals series against the defending champion TNT Tropang Giga but they will not go down without a fight.
The Elasto Painters coach Yeng Guao said that they still feel good about their chances in their match-up and their perspective is still positive.
"We still feel good about the series. It would be hard to climb back. But we're getting used to finding ways to win. Yes we're down but it could easily have been an even series. That's our perspective. It's positive. We're enjoying the series as we're learning a lot. Meron pa kaming pwedeng i-adjust na makakatulong sa amin," said Guiao.
"RHJ is playing more than 46 minutes a game, high intensity. Kung ma-extend namin into Game Six or Game Seven, there's the possibility he might tire out. That's our objective," Guiao added.
TNT might be one away from getting back into the finals but the Rain or Shine will not give up until the final buzzer sounds just like what they did in the past two games where the average winning margin is just 1.5.
Tropang Giga head coach Chot Reyes that they are not looking far ahead and their focus right now is to prepare for the game tonight.
"The finals are farthest from our minds right now. Our only thought is to prepare for the next game - Game 5," said TNT coach Chot Reyes.
Game 5 will tip off at 7:30 p.m. at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
