PH Athletes thankful for Olympic golden journey

After winning two consecutive gold medals in the Paris Olympics, the well known “Philippine’s Golden Boy” Carlos Yulo didn't forget to thank God first above for the skills and abilities he acquired for the competition.

Yulo didn't even lose hope in the prestigious competition, instead he trusted the will of God for his own benefit and good. Yet, he didn't get wrong.

What Caloy wished for his country and personal life, all of them in one blink of an eye, God gave it to him without any hesitation.

He received a lot of greetings from different prominent people not only from his country where he came from but also from different other nations.

Thus, being thankful to God is one of the characteristics of many Filipino players and athletes who engage in sports.

Whenever they win or lose in the game or competition, these players and athletes give and pay respect first to the Creator of all things.

Like amongst the other athletes who bow out in the Olympics, they first thank God for the opportunity to fight and join the prestigious competition.

Many of them became our idol or inspiration not only because of the skills they have but because of being grateful no matter what.

Even during the pre-Spanish and American occupation the trait of having faith in the works of God continues to adapt nowadays.

Indeed, even among other athletes who joined the Olympics this year has the same trait as Yulo. Even though some of the Filipino athletes did not experience glorious moments like of Yulo, they know that God might have a purpose for them in other ways.

Trusting our fate in the hands of God is a good character of every Filipino we should be enriched with. Having a humble heart is a virtue for success.

God only knows what is good or bad for us. And, God wants good things for His people who trusted in Him.
